Breheny have been working with Dover District Council, East Kent Engineering Partnership, and the Environment Agency to deliver four new rock groynes and beach recycling works along the Walmer Frontage, since August 2020. The works will ensure that the high standard of protection against flooding from the sea will be maintained along this frontage.
5,800 tonnes of granite rock has been delivered to the beach by barge, from the Chywoon Quarry in Cornwall. All three rock groynes have now been completed along Wellington Parade with only one remaining to construct outside Sandown Castle.
Keep up the good work Trevor Bailey and the team down at Walmer, Kent.
