The Women in Construction taster session was held at Huntingdon organised by Urban and Civic for a family learning group. The aim of the session was to highlight career options available within construction, both traditional and non-traditional. The session gave people in the group the confidence to ask questions and seek out training and careers within the industry.
Breheny’s Bid Writer, Alice Gosbee gave an inspirational speech about different career paths and explained some of the lesser known opportunities within construction. The group was then split into three and completed a series of activities designed to get them thinking about engineering. Alice led on the Breheny Bridge Building Challenge.
The session has received positive feedback, with everyone enjoying the activities and learning about different career options within the industry.
