Marine / Coastal Defence

Most of our work in coastal defence has been along the North Sea coast where considerable erosion of the coastline occurs and where the many tidal rivers are prone to flooding from winter storms and North Sea tidal surges.  The contracts undertaken have involved most forms of civil engineering construction, from insitu reinforced concrete sea or river walls to rock armouring; from precast concrete revetment mats to sheet steel piled structures; from earth embankments to beach replenishment schemes.
