Aylesbury Vale Parkway Now Open
The station at Aylesbury Vale Parkway has been operating since 14 December 2008 and on Monday 1 June the new station building and all of the car park will be fully open to the public. The formal opening ceremony however will be held in the summer 2009.
The delivery of the work and the completion of the project 18 months early has been possible due to the strong partnership involving Buckinghamshire County Council, Department of Transport, John Laing, Carillion, Network Rail, Chiltern Railways, Aylesbury Vale District Council, Aylesbury Vale Advantage, Arriva, Berryfields Major Development Consortium and J Breheny Contractors Ltd.
Adrian Shooter, Chairman of Chiltern Railways, has previously stated ' This was a great acheivment and illustrates the power of well motivated partnership working.'
