North Bexhill Road Scheme is successful at ICE Awards

Representatives from the North Bexhill Access Road scheme, attended the ICE South East England Engineering Excellence Awards in Brighton on Thursday 27th July, to receive the Brassey Award (Kent and East Sussex) for Engineering Excellence.  This award is for the best project in Kent and East Sussex Region and faced some stiff competition.

Sam Best, Project Manager at Breheny, said:

“It is a privilege and a pleasure to win this award.  My thanks go to all those involved on the first phase of the project. It was down to our collective professional and positive approach during some technically challenging times that has led us to win this award.  The hard work put in by all has also allowed us to secure the second phase of NBAR and other projects from our new client. Hopefully we can work with them for years to come.”

Suzanne Moroney, Director of ICE South East England, said:

“The ICE South East England Engineering Excellence Awards showcase the very best of what the region has to offer in construction and engineering. All projects shortlisted for the awards are exemplars of great infrastructure projects, whether through their use of innovative new construction methods, their community engagement or their commitment to sustainability and the environment. I would like to congratulate all projects on their outstanding achievement.

North Bexhill Access Road has opened up the surrounding area to a wealth of opportunities whilst using a number of innovative techniques to minimise the environmental impact to the ecological area.”
